Hexagram ~ sonnet

Self-cultivation requires recognition of a need.
Attempting concentricity when one is teetering.
Did the ancients know a slower way?

Bacteria pivots course from acidic to alkaline.

Seeds are planted in rich black soil

Mycelium weaves itself like a prayer

Fueled by nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium.

We discern the fungi poisonous or not.

The terrain of one’s heart-mind requires

Integration in an open field of possibility.

There is a cultivation process as we place our offerings

On the altar of the sacred and we bow

Knowing this to be yet another in a series of cycles To recognize the preciousness of the turning of the wheel.
